The Beautiful Skagit Valley lies in the northwestern corner of Washington between the ocean waters of the Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains. The Skagit Valley offers a wide array of outdoor recreational opportunities for visitors.  Boating, sailing, kayaking are very popular and the San Juan Islands are only a  ferry ride away. You don't have to go far to enjoy beautiful forests and  lakes.  There are many county and state parks perfect for  fishing, hiking, camping and exploring the outdoors.  Skagit County is also the  gateway to the North Cascades National Park with its scenic wilderness and  beautiful mountain vistas perfect for a day trip or longer getaway.
The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is a spring festival attended by thousands of
visitors. It is an annual event April1- April 30.
